Art exhibition | 2011
Paulo Mendel participated with his first series of oil paintings in a group exhibition organized by Galeria Mini and Detono Grafitti [BH] together with Bruna Canepa, Iamana, Mariana Abasolo, Pjota James Denardi and Znort.
Based on low quality digital photos, taken at the beginning of the 2000s, this series of diptychs portray ordinary moments in the life of the artist and his friends. The screens are small and the painting spreads everywhere. Fragments of songs and conversations are stamped onto the screens and the surrounding walls adding to your senses.
In this montage, all the pieces were mixed on the walls and floor space, without names, and included plants and objects.
