The drawings resemble simultaneously open computer windows and banners, graphics that have become part of routine with multitasking, and visual pollution of online advertising. Without the actual content, or rather, revealing only the broken image icons, the shapes become simple geometries, and when printed onto translucent paper, appear to float. |
These four pieces were thought to work individually and combined in different ways, side by side – forming diptychs, triptychs and quadriptychs – or overlapping – working layers with the tracing paper.

Contrary to the idea of absence, corrupted images do not only delimit empty spaces. Their lines intersect, create links and fill themselves until it abandons the original form. |

Part of the series emerged from the repetition of clicks done in linear movements, circular, or even on the same spot. The image is dealt with as a painting, which in certain cases makes it more abstract.

All the drawings in the series were made by brokenpage.com’s web art. Since it is an audiovisual work, Mendel focuses on the sound interaction with the site to create a drawing from a musical performance that does not exist in other records, except in a random graphic representation.
