Matias Aguayo. Eugenia Caloso, Pablo Castoldi and Gary Pimiento are the people behind the Bumbumbox project in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and also in other countries -, taking their boomboxes to public spaces where. along with friends and passers-by, parties are celebrated spontaneously. The music played in the parties comes from an mp3 player connected to a sound system. The project features DJ sets created by collaborators from all over the world, who develop short sets at home and send them to the Bumbumbox members via Internet.

 

bumbumboxEach boombox. the adventure of occupying public spaces. and also the possibility of making friends through dancing and enjoying music. are the ingredients of parties that. whether celebrated during daytime or at night, surpass the limits imposed by the entertainment business. Alexander Robotnic, and Bobby Konders.
