The title is self-explanatory. Homing \ Roaming features works by Alyssa Miserendino, Chelpa Ferro, Eduarda Ribeiro. Elaine Tedesco. Hector Zamora. Leandro Lima and Gisela Motta. Lucia Koch, Mariana Abasolo. Marion Velasco and Rafael Rozendaal to approach the home and those who do not have a roof over their heads. The nomads, urban or not. The traffic, the distance from the homeland, the exchange between distant cultures. The boundaries.

The idea behind the fifth exhibition of the BlankTape website came up long ago. By watching once again the documentary Inside Outside (Denmark. 2005), by Andreas Johnsen and Nis Boye Moller Rasmussen, the path to be followed in the development of the project became clear. In the film, two sequences tell a little bit about the production of the Danish Adams & ltso. The pair inhabits a space inside a subway station in Copenhagen and builds clandestine shelters in non-places for refuge and/or observation of urban life

By carrying out these works. the artists also connect the city as we know it – streets, routes and public spaces – with underground tunnels and secret passages. Such creations are only complete with the interference of third parties that occupy the structures and, beyond the possibility of unconventional housing. remind us of the need. or even better, of everyone’s right for a place.
