Brazil was the first destination outside U.S. territory. | In São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, the photographer did not just find abandoned spaces; above all, she met the people who inhabited and reutilize those places. |

U.S. photographer Alyssa Miserendino has been capturing images of abandonment represented by homes in foreclosure in her country. With the series Our World Insideout: Brazil, the artist initiates a worldwide journey, not only capturing images of neglect and decay, but also exposing scenarios of spatial reusability. Brazilian screenwriter and director Isabela Alzuguir accompanied Alyssa Miserendino in her journey through Brazilian cities, developing a documentary of the photographer’s newest investigation.
